European Branch Covid-19 Update

The PBA Officers are constantly checking the Government guidelines with regards to the reintroduction of sport within the United Kingdom during the Covid-19 pandemic.

At present the majority of clubs the PBA use for their European based qualifiers have indicated that they are either not in a position to re-open their doors or are not in a position to allow non members to use their facilities under the strict conditions within the Covid-19 guidelines. In these difficult times the health and wellbeing of our members, officials, volunteers, venue staff and spectators are uppermost in our minds.

The PBA Officers will continue to check the Government guidelines and liaise with clubs within the UK to consider whether it is possible to hold any qualifiers for the World Indoor Championships.

The World Bowls Tour has this morning issued a statement regarding the 2020 Scottish International Open following discussions with their stakeholders for that event. Details of the statement are available on the World Bowls Tour website - https://worldbowlstour.tv/

We hope all members keep healthy and stay safe,
